At Tupelo you can expect to see all of your favorite southern dishes on the menu, just with a special twist. The restaurant offers a brunch, lunch and dinner menu. Check out the full menu here.
Dishes range from sweet potato pancakes, to mouth watering burgers to a variety of seafood dishes. As for if the restaurant is vegetarian friendly, many of the items do contain meat, but the restaurant does offer a variety of salads and meals such as the ShooMercy pancakes, you can request for no meat on the dish. Tupelo does offer complimentary biscuits and jam with each meal. The biscuits are delicious and it is highly recommended you try them with their signature honey.
If you do decide to visit for brunch, I highly recommend the ShooMercy sweet potato pancakes or the Blueberry french toast. Both are equally delicious and filling.
Tupelo also offers a happy hour and specials through out the week. On Monday through Thursday at 4 – 7pm you can go visit the restaurant and sip on their signature cocktails for $4 or their select craft bears for $5. Additionally the restaurant offers Southern Snacks for $4.50.
As for pricing, Tupelo does range on the more pricer side. Many of their items range from $15 – 30 depending on what time of day you go. Many of dishes are well proportioned and majority of the time I do leave with left overs.
If you are on a budget at do want to visit, I recommend trying out their brunch or lunch menu. Many of the items are similar to the ones they offer at dinner at a more affordable price.
Overall Tupelo is a great restaurant to go with friends and catch up. The restaurant offers outdoor seating which is the perfect place to eat during the spring and summer months. The restaurant does tend to get very busy during brunch on the weekend so it is highly recommended that you do call in a make a reservation before hand.
As for food, the restaurant gets a solid 8/10. The food is delicious, but can be rather inconsistent. The menu does slightly change a bit, for example if you do order the french toast, one visit it may come with just a blueberry compote and the next it may be accompany by duck.
The atmosphere at Tupelo is very friendly and inviting. The restaurant is casual and right next to the light rail. It should be noted that the parking lot can be an issue during the weekends around brunch. Parking is tight and the lot is tricky to maneuver.
